One of the most impressive sights in the Pattaya area, Khao Chi Chan features a massive golden image of the Buddha laser-etched into a 130-metre cliff face. The image, which was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of King Bhumibol's reign, is visible from miles away and is particularly striking when illuminated at night. The surrounding gardens are peaceful and well-maintained.

Really enjoyed this. Much better than I expected from the photos online. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and the experience is genuinely memorable. Worth the trip from central Pattaya.
