
Mayor Poramet Ngampichet officially opened the International Tourism Summit Asia 2026 in Pattaya on May 13, welcoming tourism operators and business representatives from more than 100 countries to the Grand Bella Hotel on Central Pattaya Road. The five-day event brought together global travel companies, hotel operators, tourism agencies, and service businesses for networking and B2B business matching sessions. International delegates from the United States, Canada, Europe, the UK, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa, China, and India participated in high-level negotiations aimed at expanding tourism partnerships and opening new sales channels. Mayor Poramet highlighted Pattaya's hotel infrastructure, transportation systems, and safety measures as key strengths in positioning the city as a leading tourism hub in Asia. The summit signals growing confidence in Pattaya's recovery and its ambitions as a major international events destination.
