Pattaya Traffic Police Crack Down on Loud Motorcycles, Seize Two Bikes from German Resident
Pattaya City Police Traffic officers have stepped up enforcement against noisy motorcycles following a wave of resident complaints on social media, resulting in the seizure of two high-powered motorcycles from a 62-year-old German national on a retirement visa. Officers identified the man after a viral Facebook video showed him repeatedly revving a loud Ducati motorcycle in the Soi Buakhao area. Noise level tests on both his red Ducati 821 and white BMW G310 confirmed they exceeded legal decibel limits under Thai law. Both vehicles were seized and the case forwarded to investigators for legal proceedings. Pattaya City Police Station has reiterated its commitment to ongoing enforcement against public nuisance from loud vehicles.
