Swedish Tourist Loses Over 100,000 Baht in Pattaya Condo Theft — Police Reviewing CCTV
A 67-year-old Swedish tourist filed a police complaint on May 15 after allegedly being robbed of more than 100,000 baht inside a central Pattaya condominium. The victim told police he had met two individuals on Walking Street and invited them back to his room, after which two additional people arrived and a dispute broke out. The suspects allegedly took the key to his safe and fled on two motorcycles with approximately 67,500 baht in Thai currency, 800 euros, 2,000 Swedish kronor, and 8 million Vietnamese dong. Pattaya police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects. Tourists are reminded to exercise caution when inviting strangers back to their accommodation.
